Cleo Leather is a UK based Filmmaker and Photographer based between London and Marrakech.

Immersed in both mediums, it’s not always easy to tell where cinema ends and photography begins with her work, and so much for the better. She has worked in a breadth of photographic disciplines- Fashion, Luxury Travel, Interiors, Music, Wedding & Events, Documentary style- yet people and portraiture has always been her focus. This is due to her empathetic connection with subject matter and her ability to draw raw representations of said subject.

Where her still image work is concerned, a life of absorbing the visual storytelling of film has developed her director’s eye, which is apparent in both her still and moving imagery; her aesthetic is cinematic, poetic and unique. She captures light and mood sensitively and exquisitely.

This eye produces a still image that is not only liable to hit the viewer with a force similar to some of cinema’s most stirring visuals but they tell a story, appreciated at face value, yet discovered through a more critical appreciation.
